bro how tf did you know i am highschool t
Lol that Americans prefer algebra thing is so random.
I really want you to pull that staple out so badly, after you had that first bit of fun playing with it. 🤣🤣🤣 Enjoy your vids. You're smart and hilarious.
Thinking of doing something similar to your channel but for my physics PhD. Love your videos and find them deeply relatable. Really enjoy the story time format.
Nice video. But the proof you showed seems to assume n+m belongs to Z. Either that should be mentioned in pre conditions or proved too. Just a nitpick.
6:57 I was studying Rudin's Principle of Mathematical Analysis yesterday and seeing this problem reminded me of the proof that every k cell is compact in pg 39. Not the infinite shrinking part but how for a fixed r you could get an n small enough to arrive at the contradiction. Here n is fixed and you need an 'r' or a C. Obviously this is just a philosophy and there are a lot of details you'd need to study like how x/|x| behaves. I don't have the slightest idea what you mean by phi 'supporting' the other thing. And I don't even know why the function should even be bounded (or whatever the problem is trying to state). So I guess it would be a nice idea to find parts which should be true like that, 'Half problems' I guess. I liked War for Art when I read it cause it related to math and research in general too. It was a bit spiritual but it was right when it said it's your duty to study everything you can about the problem and understand all sides given what we know and it's completely upto luck to get the inspiration you need to get the right idea.
So I should practice. That sounds so simple but I haven’t been doing it. I just got overwhelmed by books and stopped. I took AP Calc AB and now I’m wanting to pick up where I left off in James Stewart’s “Calculus” but I just get so overwhelmed and learn nothing because I don’t know how to do it then I give up. So it might be better if I try to be more consistent about it and just do it in smaller bursts for now so I don’t get overwhelmed. Thanks :)
As an undergraduate student going into his fourth year, doing a math minor I’m happy that I can do all the group theory questions in this video after taking a course on group theory lol
I am a 4th year PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology. I believe a big reason we pursue PhD is because we are lifelong learners and students. Even though I do not know anything about your studies, there is something familiar hearing about a list of curriculum and classes that you’ve taken. Love the videos!
At McGill, I was a math graduate student in the 80's. It was very hard. I intended to get my Ph. D. but after getting my M. Sc. and feeling unprepared passing the qualifiers exam, I got a job as a software developer and never returned. I am 62 now and thinking of returning to finish my Ph. D. . The big challenge would be to attempt the qualifiers exams. In 40 years, I forgot a lot of things, so probably think that I need to seriously relearn Real Analysis (Rudin) and Abstract Algebra (Jacobson). Recently, I have become more interested in neuroscience and ML. I think that I have some problems in that I have too many interests (fuzzy logic, physics, quantum physics, protein folding) and keep changing my goals. I read about a retired MD who decided to get a Ph. D. at Yale in physics at the age of 87, so maybe there is hope for me.
this is awesome
Wow, just thank you. I love both maths and souls series
Is graph theory analysis, algebra, geometry? You are making combinatorist (is this a word?) cry!
Hey I’m a third year undergrad in math and love your videos!! If you could, I would love a video where you talk more about the money side of a PhD program and how to best manage expenses and maybe talk about how stipend works in a PhD program. Thanks !
This is a name i haven't heard since 2016.
wtf is this crossover lol
LMAO fr
Exactly my sentiment. But I respect it. I play games too, and do math.
Aye let's go
Prod???? really??
Very nice I love to see it
I laughed every time he said balls.
Who is prod? Link?

@@PhDVlog777 That's pretty awesome. I know you used to have Bloodborne videos overlaid on your audio, but I never thought you'd do a cross over, especially with someone like prod.
